The Consequences of Hate and Anger
Hate and anger are how Satan enters in to use people to destroy others. Cain allowed his anger to lead him to kill his brother Abel. Jesus warned against the consequences of uncontrolled anger. “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift,” Matt. 5:21-24 (KJV). God says don’t get angry but get it right between you and your brother or sister. Anger and hate are so destructive that I’m not going to give another word of my opinion but I’m just going to let the Word speak for itself. “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil,” Eph. 4:26, 27 (KJV). “He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls,” Pr. 25:28 (KJV). “A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but [he that is] slow to anger appeaseth strife,” Pr. 15:18 (KJV). “[He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated,” Pr. 14:17 (KJV). “[As] coals [are] to burning coals, and wood to fire; so [is] a contentious man to kindle strife,” Pr. 26:21 (KJV). “An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression,” Pr. 29:22 (KJV). “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God,” James 1:19, 20 (KJV). “Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools,” Eccless. 7:9 (KJV). “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger,” Pr. 15:1 (KJV). “[He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city,” Pr. 16:32 (KJV).
