Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 9-13-26
The Bible reveals that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. If we believe that this is true, then we must believe that God inspired the Bible. One translation says that it was “God breathed.” In other words, the Bible is God’s Word to trust for teaching the truth concerning His will, plans, and purposes for our lives. There are many in this generation who disregard the Bible. They don’t believe in God, at least not to the point that they would confess with their mouths and believe in their hearts that they would be saved. They think that the Bible is out of date with the times and is old fashioned. It’s out of touch with the times that we live in and does not speak to this contemporary generation. What they don’t understand, and many others don’t either, is that if God inspired the Word of God and He’s omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient, then He’s already where we’re going, is still where we’ve been, and is present with us right now, because He’s not in time, but in eternity. God already knew what would happen before it happened. He already knew us before we were ever born, and He already knew who would be where and what they would be doing. His Word is for every generation regardless of how much we’ve advanced in technology, or how much knowledge we have accumulated, nor how much we have advanced intellectually, God already knew these things and revealed it long before it happened, Daniel 12:4 (KJV): 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. The Bible is a moral revelation revealing the consequences of sin and God’s answer to remedy it. When men ignore it, the end result is immorality as revealed by end time scriptures.
