The Holy Spirit empowers the people of God for spiritual warfare beginning with the battle within, the battle between the Believer’s recreated human spirit and his flesh. As we yield to the Holy Spirit, He empowers the human spirit with abilities that only He can, that we may be victorious in this inner battle we fight. This inner battle is revealed throughout scripture, Mark 7:21–23 (KJV): 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Romans 8:5–6 (KJV): 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Galatians 5:16–17 (KJV): 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. It’s by the Holy Spirit, and faith in God’s Word by which we are victorious over this flesh, Romans 8:13 (KJV): 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 1 John 5:4 (KJV): 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Thank God for the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and faith in His Word. Jesus gave His life that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV): 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The Bible reveals that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. If we believe that this is true, then we must believe that God inspired the Bible. One translation says that it was “God breathed.” In other words, the Bible is God’s Word to trust for teaching the truth concerning His will, plans, and purposes for our lives. There are many in this generation who disregard the Bible. They don’t believe in God, at least not to the point that they would confess with their mouths and believe in their hearts that they would be saved. They think that the Bible is out of date with the times and is old fashioned. It’s out of touch with the times that we live in and does not speak to this contemporary generation. What they don’t understand, and many others don’t either, is that if God inspired the Word of God and He’s omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient, then He’s already where we’re going, is still where we’ve been, and is present with us right now, because He’s not in time, but in eternity. God already knew what would happen before it happened. He already knew us before we were ever born, and He already knew who would be where and what they would be doing. His Word is for every generation regardless of how much we’ve advanced in technology, or how much knowledge we have accumulated, nor how much we have advanced intellectually, God already knew these things and revealed it long before it happened, Daniel 12:4 (KJV): 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. The Bible is a moral revelation revealing the consequences of sin and God’s answer to remedy it. When men ignore it, the end result is immorality as revealed by end time scriptures. Many are the challenges of this generation, but the key to victory in this life is to ensure that before we fix the world, we need to start with the man first, or ourselves first. Before I can advise others, I need to make sure that I’m whole, and then I may be able to help another. We limit our potential when we allow others to dictate to us who we are, what we can accomplish, what we become, or anything else that does not align with the plans and purposes of God for our own personal lives. We’ve got to guard our hearts against wrong assumptions, lies, distortions, untruths, half-truths, etc. We live beneath our covenant rights when we see ourselves as grasshoppers in our own eyes. We’ve got to stop this foolishness, this poisoning of the mind by the enemy, and see ourselves as the conquerors that we are in Christ Jesus. We become prisoners of our own mindsets when we accept those things that are contrary to the will of God. I refuse to allow the lies of the enemy to take up residence in my spirit. Only that which is strictly in alignment with scripture will I dwell on as the Word reveals in Joshua 1:8 (KJV): 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Meditate day and night on what God says about me, not what somebody who hates my guts says about me. Lord help us. It’s about time we stop being so naïve about the reality that there are those who don’t have our best interest at heart and call it out for what it is. We fight an inward battle as revealed throughout scripture. That’s why the Word tells us to fight the good fight of faith. Life is full of paths that lead to different outcomes, surprises, some good and some bad, disappointments, successes, love, hate, life and death. We may not be able to provide answers to all that we do not understand, but we can learn from each experience and make better decisions in the future. Our present dilemma can change from one situation to another without checking with us, and without notice, so that those who are less fortunate today can be on top tomorrow. We should always remember that life can be volatile and unpredictable. There are some things we can be sure about, then there are other things that we pray about and put in the Master’s hands. With God and the eternal, these things become less of a concern. I’m not encouraging that the former should be ignored, but just that priority be placed on the eternal and the word of faith balances between the two that we may live the fullest in the natural and the spiritual. In order that we do that though, we must have faith. Romans 10:8–11 (KJV): 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Yesterday, Saturday, 8-8-26, was officially a new crossroads in my life and the life of First Lady Muchison. I officially retired from Ga. Pacific’s Extrusion Plant in St. Marys Ga. It was also my 67 th. Birthday, therefore, a welcomed time of change in my life, as well as in the life of First Lady Muchison, therefore we’re definitely excited about this new season in our lives. Our God is the awesome God. It’s a new day and a new season in which the kingdom of Heaven is advancing even the more, and as First Lady and I celebrate, we thank our CCC Partners who are praying with us and celebrating with us as well. I will just say that the vision is great and we’re elated that we are blessed with Partners who see the vision and are running with the vision with us. Keep the vision alive! I personally would like to say “Thank you” to everyone who sows into our lives on today, and keep us lifted up in your prayers. First Lady and I certainly cannot bring the vision to pass alone, but with God’s help and the help of faithful and committed Partners, we will see the vision come to pass, all to the glory of God. The years have gone by quickly, 22 years in Calvary to be exact, but the vision is for an appointed time, and we must run with the vision. The Lord is good, and His mercy endures to all generations. After today, First Lady and I are going to get some r&r for a couple of weeks that is so needed, after which we will are looking forward to what God is doing in the ministry here at CCC and we know that you all are as well. Christ’s example of obedience teaches us that we too are to obey the Word of faith. James said that we are not to be just hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word as well. The Lord Himself demonstrated that the Word of faith is to be obeyed, Hebrews 5:8–10 (KJV): 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Another Scripture in James 1:23-25 says that if a man be a hearer of the Word only, he is as a man who looks in the mirror and then forgets what he saw. We are to obey the Word of God so that when we look into the mirror of the Word of God, we don’t forget what it says, but instead we mirror what the Word reveals to us and we become what the Word says. That being said, because I mirror what the Word says, I don’t use profanity because the Word reads in Ephesians 4:29 (KJV): 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. I don’t cause confusion among the brethren because it reads in Hebrews 12:14 (KJV): 14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. I don’t lie, cheat, and steal. I don’t commit adultery, because the Word of faith says in Romans 13:9 (KJV): 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The heart of the worshipper is to be consecrated, set apart, and holy as unto the Lord. It is vital to his or her relationship with God. We must come to God with a true heart and are only deceiving ourselves if we don’t. The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 51:6–10 (KJV): 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9 Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Isaiah 57:15 (KJV): 15 For thus saith the high and lofty One That inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. All the outward ecclesiastical formality means nothing if our hearts are far away from the Lord. If there hadn’t been a heart experience, a genuine repentance, which means a change of mind, and a genuine conversion which means to make a 180 degree turn around and go in the opposite direction, then we haven’t had a heart experience with God because if we had, we would be as revealed in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. The word of faith is full of power to them that believe, them that walk by faith and not by sight, to them that walk in the Spirit and not in their flesh. God’s Word is spirit, and life, John 6:63 (KJV): 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Faith is the key to unlocking that power. Faith is the realm where the impossible is possible and what may be impossible with man is possible with God. From Genesis to Revelation the Word of God teaches the Believer that all things are possible with God with miracle after miracle revealing the hand of God in our lives. The Lord have given power unto men through the word of faith and when we tap into that revelation, we will experience the glory of God just as is revealed throughout the holy writ. Hebrews 11:32–35 (KJV): 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection. I want to share something that’s personally been on my heart. My life for the most part has been mostly associated with people who work hard every day to make ends meet, take care of their families, and the normal day-to-day activities that engulf all of us. The thing that stays on my heart is what does the people in this circle think about their relationship with God, if they think about God at all, and what roll does God play in their lives? As I interact with people on a daily basis, it seems that many don’t think that God cares about them, or maybe I should say it this way, they have not interacted with the God of creation very much. Is this because they think God have forgotten about them? Is it because they don’t believe in God? There could be a thousand reasons why people are where they’re at. How they were brought up, tragedies in their lives, being hurt by others, whatever it is I think that some people believe that God has forgotten about them and what I would say to that is that I try to give people a glimpse of God’s goodness through my own personal life, and I know that sometimes I miss the mark, but I can let people that I come in contact with know what the Lord have done for me and prayerfully convey to them that the same God that bless me will bless them as well. God said that if we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more would He give to them that ask. That lets me know that He cares about every detail of our lives just like a natural parent cares about every detail of their children’s lives. The difference is that the Word says, “How much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him,” Matt. 7:11B (KJV). In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. The country celebrates this July 4 th . Weekend commemorating the Declaration of Independence from British rule by the thirteen colonies in 1776. Of course there’s fireworks, good ole country cooking, bbq, and lots of celebration. 250 years later, God have truly blessed America, and for that, I am thankful to have been blessed to be a citizen, born and raised on American soil. 250 years, God have kept this country strong. The United States of America is blessed of God, no doubt, and the freedoms that we enjoy did not come without a price. A lot of blood has been sacrificed for these freedoms we enjoy, yet God sacrificed His only begotten Son that we may be free from another kind of bondage, the bondage of sin. Jesus sacrificed that we be free from the bondage of sin, Romans 6:6 (KJV): 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. The greatest freedom, even moreso than the celebration of July 4, is the freedom from the bondage of sin. Now we have a choice, Romans 8:2 (KJV): 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. July 4 commemorates the freedom from British rule. Christians celebrate everyday, freedom from the rule of sin in our mortal bodies and now we choose to serve the true and living God and not the principle of sin, Romans 6:13 (KJV): 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. In this Pastor’s Pen I just want to speak to what I term the vanishing virtues in this generation, 3 in particular. Scriptures warn us concerning the spirit of the end times that are warning signs that He, the Lord Jesus Christ, is soon to return. Matthew 24:12 (KJV): 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. The love of many shall wax cold because iniquity abounds, it says in this scripture in Matt. 24:12. As the love of many grows cold one of the first of these virtues that I want to mention is respect. Without respect people are reduced to whatever is culturally popular about them whether it is stereotypical, straight out lies, or just whatever the prejudice is that exists at the time. There used to be a respect between children and their parents, but seems to be fading in this generation. Without respect we witness the deterioration of our generation. The second virtue that we see much less of is humility. More and more accepted in our generation is a selfish, self-centered mindset and it is a very destructive mindset to have since it considers only what it wants above what others want. It’s that me, myself, and I mentality. A little humble pie would do a lot of good right about now. Finally, the third virtue that seems to be vanishing in our times is honor. Honor, according to Webster’s New World Dictionary, means high regard or respect. A good reputation. Adherence to principles considered right, integrity. Chastity. High rank, distinction. A title of certain officials, such as judges. Something done or given as a token. A source of respect and fame. First and foremost, that honor, respect, and humility must be to our God, and prayerfully restored to our generation. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A.
