Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 10-4-26
God knows all things, and all things God knows, whether they be good or evil, right or wrong, light or darkness, nothing catches God by surprise. He already went ahead of us and equipped us with everything that we need in this life that we would need to be victorious. I certainly cannot explain all that I see or experience in this life, but one thing that I have done, I’ve put all my trust in the one who knows all things and have faith that He will do what He says He will. Regardless of what I understand or don’t understand, I am in the same mindset of Job in Job 13:15 (KJV): 15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him. Also in Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV): 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. The Holy Spirit will help us through these trying times and through these times of hurt and pain. That’s what the Holy Spirit does. The Bible reads in Jn. 14:16, 17 (Amplified Bible): -16- And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever - -17- The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. Thank God for His indwelling presence which is a very present help in the time of need. In His presence is the fullness of joy. There is a refreshing that comes from the presence of the Lord. He is a river inside of the Believer, John 7:37–39 (KJV): 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
