He came to restore, fulfill, redeem, save, set free, deliver, provide, heal, that we might have life , and that we might have it more abundantly. Resurrection Sunday is about all these covenant rights for the Believer and all that is included in our great salvation plan from God. We are a blessed people who serve a real life God with real life answers for real life problems. This season is a celebration of victory for men on earth for our enemy has been defeated and God have given us the victory through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. That victory includes victory over sin, the root of man’s dilemma. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” Rom. 3:23 (KJV). Jesus destroyed the power of sin over them that are saved. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin,” Rom. 6:6 (KJV). He gave us victory over all that separates us from God’s best for our lives. Sin separates us from God’s best for our lives but we’ve been given victory over sin through Christ. “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God,” Rom. 6:11-13 (KJV). As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday let us also celebrate our freedom from sin whereas because of sin death entered into the world along with it’s twin brothers sickness and poverty of which were never part of God’s original plan for man. Enjoy a prosperous Resurrection Sunday.
