Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 11-1-26
If it’s a time that men should pray, it’s now. We should pray for our generation, but also for ourselves as the Lord taught in the Lord’s prayer, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…” Pray that we don’t fall into temptations, and the evils of this world. The power of influence in this life by the world is real and deceiving. Hebrews 3:13 (KJV): 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. The Apostle Paul, by the Holy Spirit warned Believers to forsake not the assembling of ourselves together even the more so as we see the day approaching, that we may encourage one another, pray for one another, and support one another, Hebrews 10:25 (KJV): 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We live in the times of that day approaching and is among us as we witness the signs of the age. Any Christian can sense the times that we live in how there is an urgency in the atmosphere. There’s much prophecy to be fulfilled according to the Word of God. Believers should be as the children of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV): 32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. One of those understandings is that it is a time for great prayer and getting in the presence of the Lord that God would show us what the Church ought to do as His body and individually according to the plans and purposes of God for this end time generation, for the time now is closer than before. Let us, the Church, the ekklesia, the called out ones, seek Him like never before that we may conform to His will for our lives, 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV): 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
