If God’s People…
Since the beginning of 2020, this nation has been shaken by a pandemic caused by COVID-19, a virus that has contributed to the deaths of many around the world. Then, in February of this year, the senseless murder of Ahmaud Arbery shook our nation again only after the horrific video of his murder by three armed men with shotgun and pistol who chased him down and shot him to death, was released. Now the coastal community of Brunswick Ga. and surrounding areas are demanding that these men be brought to justice to the full extent of the law. As far as COVID-19 is concerned there’s much confusion from our government, states, and in some cases our local governments on how our country should move forward opening our country back up. Many families have had to endure knowing their loved ones died being alone due to COVID-19. Fear has gripped many across our land because of these current events. Others have stepped up to lend a helping hand to their neighbors to attempt to bring some relief and consolation but all know that there has been change and this nation will never be the same. What does the kingdom of Heaven have to say to these events? How does the kingdom message fit into this and what are Christians to do and still represent the kingdom of Heaven? I suspect that you probably already know where I’m going with this. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land,” 2 Chron. 7:14 (KJV). If God’s people would humble themselves then He will turn some things around for us. If God’s people would pray then He will turn some things around for us. If God’s people would turn from their wicked ways then He will turn some things around for us. Amen!
