Pastor's Pen for Sunday 10-9-2022
As the ministry of CCC presses on towards the resuming of services, though we’re a long way from what we enjoyed prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, yet we’re well on our way towards that end. I’m appreciative of those who have worked to facilitate getting the ministry to this point. We still have much work to do and are meeting with those Partners responsible in the areas of the ministry of concern to strategize and continue moving the ministry in the right direction. This will take time and to be honest, I don’t want us to rush to get these things done without insuring we’re covering all our bases and have the people in place to be successful in our endeavors. Quite a bit has changed since the start of the pandemic and as I mentioned to our youth leaders during a meeting, not many in this generation has had to lead through a pandemic. This was evident in the response of our own government. There was confusion, mistakes, and even political posturing that hindered the fight against Covid-19, and as so often is the case, many confessing Christians were on the wrong side of the truth. Through all of it, we march on. God knew all of these things would happen before the foundation of the world, therefore, we can be confident that God had supplied all of our needs through Jesus Christ our Lord. We had to do our part though, through the pandemic and all else that life have for the people of God. The Lord is not going to make a way, He’s already made a way for them that believe. In all of our ways we must acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths, but again, we must do our part. We’ve got to trust in Him first, Pr. 3:5-7 (KJV): 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
