Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 1-18-26
CCC’s firstfruit offering of a 21 Day Consecration is winding down but the spirit of the 21 Day Consecration continues on in our hearts and minds. The life of the Believer is a consecration unto God. This is the theme throughout God’s Word. Exodus 20:2–6 (KJV): 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (KJV): 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. Romans 12:1 (KJV): I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV): 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. We’re blessed to be God’s representatives in the earth, His ambassadors. The Bible declares that our citizenship, first and foremost, is of Heaven. Philippians 3:20 (KJV): 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. The greatest honor is to be citizens of the kingdom of the most high God. Amen.
