Four Powerful Messages: TMC 2019

Being on fire for God is one way to be on your A-game against the enemy. Having a fervent spirit and attitude when it comes to the things of God is a good mindset to have in this faith walk, and this especially so in this spiritual warfare against the devil. When you’re on fire the enemy is more easily discerned. You’re not so quick to fall into the traps of the devil, but are keenly aware of his devices. Praying becomes more understandably necessary because prayer is as much for my own benefit as much as it is for others. Prayer reveals the personal failures in our own lives. I’m mostly being made aware of my own shortcomings than the shortcomings of others in prayer. It’s me O’ Lord, standing in the need of prayer. I’m at peace with myself in prayer. The power of prayer is more than getting our needs met but it’s also allowing God to accomplish that which He desires in our lives. Prayer is needful for the fiery soul whose heart is for the things of God. The Holy Spirit’s anointing is spiritual fuel to the Christian who’s hungry and thirsty after God. If we spend time in His presence, He’ll rub off on us. The Greek word charisma means a smearing, an endowment, an unguent. 1 Jn. 2:20 says an “unction.” 1 John 2:20 (KJV (WS)): 20 But ye have an unction (anointing, chrisma, smearing, endowment) from the Holy One, and ye know all things. It’s a spiritual warfare, but I don’t care how long you’ve been in this faith walk, or what your title is, or how high you’ve climbed the economic ladder, you’re still inside of a body made of flesh and blood. We’ve also got to take care of our bodies. We’ve got to take care of our souls (minds). 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV (WS)): 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 8-31-25 Acts 10:44 (KJV (WS)) 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Announcements for Sunday, 8-31-25 1. CCC will not have Monday, 9-1-25, or 9-15-25, but the videos will be uploaded to CCC’s website. Though the Holy Spirit was in every aspect of creation, and is God, the Holy Spirit, He will not force us to obey Him or the Word, but He leads us, guides us, helps us, brings all things to our remembrance, and shows us things to come. He convinces us of wrongdoing, discerns the revelation of God’s Word that in all of our getting, we get understanding. He is also intimately involved in every aspect of the Christians personal life. He fellowships and communes with His people, 2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV): 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. Philippians 2:1, 2 (KJV): If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. The Holy Spirit is our Confidante. We, Christians, have an intimate relationship with Him. He talks to us, and we talk to Him. He loves us and was present in every aspect of our salvation. As a people of God, we practice His presence in our lives. The Holy Spirit is in the Church. We are His temple, 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV): 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 2 Corinthians 6:16 (KJV): 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. He’s near us, with us, and in us so that we don’t have to think that He’s far away. The Holy Spirit wants us to have that fellowship and communion with Him just like we want to have fellowship, communion, and relationship with those we love and who are dear to our hearts. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for being our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 8-24-25 1 John 2:27 (KJV) 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The spirit of anti-Christ spoken of in 1 Jn. 4:1-3 is already in the land, that spirit against God, His will, plans, and purposes for man in the earth. God gave His people a Comforter though, who empowers the people of God for the times that they live in. You may be asking what kind of times are these? The Bible declares that in the last days perilous times shall come. I would change that today to perilous times are here. Throughout history there have always been perilous times, and God has always given His people whatever they needed to weather those times. In particular, God have provided the necessary provision for man to be strengthened spiritually for every occasion. The inner-man, the spirit, mind, and body, God have provided again, that we may be built up for such a time as this. God set us up for success by giving His Spirit, not only to be with us, but in us as well. The Spirit of God, Comforter, Counselor, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby, Advocate, and Helper, gives us power for service and His indwelling presence for Christian character (fruit of the Spirit). Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV): 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Ephesians 5:18 (KJV): 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit as much now as did the early Church in the book of Acts. We’ll need His wisdom in these end times for how we should do, what we are to do, and when we are to do it. This spirit of anti-Christ is in high places and places where we wouldn’t think, and in people we wouldn’t think, but so it is. We don’t have to fret because we have been given power over all of the power of the enemy. The Holy Spirit is our power source and everything we need to walk in victory. God’s Word, again, says that He shall be with us and shall be in us. We need the Holy Spirit. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 8-17-25 The Amplified Bible Jn 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever. Announcements for Sunday, 8-17-25 1. August 7, 9, & 10, was the dates of my installation services here at CCC. I have the videos of the three pastors that preached for me that week, Pastor Mark Baker, Pastor Troy Moody, and Pastor Julius Hope. Pastor Mark Baker’s title was “I Am With You.” Pastor Troy Moody’s title was “The Gift,” and Pastor Julius Hope’s title was “Milk & Honey.” Moderator Green of the Gethsemane Association gave the charge to me that was the launching of my ministry here at Calvary Christian Center. The charge that Pastor Green gave at that time was prophetic. Much of what led up to me pastoring at Calvary was prophetic. Rev. Enoch Lee mentioning me coming back to minister at Calvary just before his passing led the leadership to invite me back to minister after Rev. Lee’s passing which led to my being offered the pastoral position, and of course, the rest is history. The vision God gave me then is the same vision blueprint that I follow to this day, “Building lives through the message of Christ.” “We are blind until we see, That in the human plan, Nothing is worth the making, If it does not make the man. Why build these cities glorious, If man unbuilded goes? In vain we build the world, Unless the builder also grows.” “Building lives, to build families, to build the Church, to build our world, through the message of Christ.” I remember this puzzle that is two-sided. When you put one side together, there’s also a picture on the other side. The one side, when you put this puzzle together, is the picture of a man, but when you look on the other side, it’s a picture of the world. The message of the puzzle is when you put the man together, you put the world together, but it starts with putting the man together. This is so true. None of what we do means anything if we’re not encouraging somebody to Christ, not religion, not a form of godliness, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 8-10-25 Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV) 15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. CCC will have Bible study Monday, 8-11-25, & 8-18-25, at 7:30 p.m. CCC will not have Bible study Monday, 8-25-25, but the video for the Bible study will be uploaded to CCC’s website. 2. We need power for these times we presently live in. That power must be able to help us navigate through the traps and devices of the enemy. That power must be able to guide us and to lead us into all truth, not lies, to convict us of wrongdoing, strengthen us when we’re weak, give us wisdom liberally, be our Helper, Strengthener, Standby, Advocate, Counselor, and our Comforter. That power comes through the person of the Holy Spirit. The Bible reveals many powerful truths concerning the Holy Spirit, but one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit is He gives us power over our own sinful nature, that flesh, the carnal man. You and I need the power of the Holy Spirit if we are going to be in this world but not of the world. It’s going to take a strength of character in order to confront the evil of this age and without the Holy Spirit we are not set up for success. When the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life become the norm of the land, it’s going to take the power of God in the people of God to turn this mess around and just in case that there is any doubt that God can turn this generation around I’m reminded of what the Lord said to Sarah when He revealed to her that He would bless her with a son, Genesis 18:13-14 (KJV): 13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Though prophecy predicts the end of times, it does not necessarily mean that all the things against Him has to happen in our particular location. Is there anything too hard for God? In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 8-3-25 John 16:7 (KJV) 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Announcements for Sunday, 8-3-25 1. CCC will not have Bible study Monday, 8-4-25, nor 8-25-25, but the videos for the Bible studies will be uploaded to CCC’s website. Luke 24:49 (KJV): 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high . Acts 1:8 (KJV): 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 2:37-39 (KJV): 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Ephesians 5:18 (KJV): 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. As revealed in the above scriptures, every Christian needs the baptism in power, not to bring attention upon ourselves, but primarily to be victorious over the flesh. We need power over this flesh! As the Apostle Paul revealed in Romans 7:22-25 (KJV): 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 7-27-25 Romans 7:18 (KJV) 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Announcements for Sunday, 7-27-25 1. CCC will have Bible study Monday, 7-28-25, at 7:30 p.m. For the month of August CCC will not have Bible study Monday, 8-4-25, nor 8-25-25, but the videos for the Bible studies will be uploaded to CCC’s website. In the 7 th . chapter of Romans the Apostle Paul reveals the struggle that is the reality of every human being. There is a fight between the flesh and the spirit of the man who wants to please God, and that battle is a real battle that if we are not strong then we give place to the enemy of our souls, Satan. The Apostle also reveals how we are victorious over this flesh and Satan. Romans 7:14-25 (KJV): 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. The victory for the Christian is in his faith and in the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, 1 Jn. 5:4; Gal. 5:16. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 7-20-25 Acts 2:17 (KJV) 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. Announcements for Sunday, 7-20-25 1. CCC will not have Bible Monday, 7-21-25, but will upload the video to the website. CCC will have Bible study Monday, 7-28-25, at 7:30 p.m. 2. The Word off God is our lifeline during this earth journey. As a matter of fact, one acronym for B.I.B.L.E. is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 (KJV): 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The Word reveals to the people of God an unseen enemy. Invisible to the natural eye, yet this enemy can very well be seen through the eyes of faith. Faith in what the Bible reveals about Satan is our only means of knowing who this enemy is and the spiritual arsenal at our disposal to keep that enemy where he belongs, under our feet. The Church has been given the power and authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions (the kingdom of Satan), and over all off the power of the enemy. One powerful revelation in the Word of God is that this enemy works through the weakness of the flesh. If the people of God would walk by faith and not by sight, be filled with the Spirit, and walk in the Spirit, it would be game over for the devil. Galatians 5:16-17 (KJV): 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 7-13-25 Acts 1:8 (KJV) 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Announcements for Sunday, 7-13-25 1. Please be aware that some changes have been made to the announcements. CCC will have Bible study Monday, 7-28-25, at 7:30 p.m. CCC will not have Bible Monday, 7-14-25, nor Monday, 7-21-25, but will upload the video to the website. 2. Many Christians do not take what the Bible reveals about Satan as seriously as they ought. Satan was not always a fallen angel. At one time he was known as Lucifer. The name Lucifer means “light bringer,” “shining one.” He was called the anointed cherub. He was considered a good angel until iniquity was found in him. Pride entered in and Lucifer “light bringer,” and “shining one” became Satan, which means “adversary.” He was created and is not omniscient, omnipotent, or omnipresent. He must be resisted though, 1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV): 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Neither are Christians to give place to the devil, Ephesians 4:26-27 (KJV): 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. Some don’t believe he’s real. Others take him lightly. Satan has been around and obviously God takes him very seriously because Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8 (KJV): 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Satan is a spirit, therefore we will need spiritual weapons to be victorious over him, but be encouraged, Jesus have already destroyed the works of the devil. The Word of God is our hammer. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV): 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 7-6-25 Luke 10:18 (KJV) 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Announcements for Sunday, 7-6-25 1. When you are faced with an enemy who cannot be seen with the natural eye then you had better learn all you can about that enemy from reliable sources, especially if that source created that enemy. 1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Satan is an adversary not to be taken lightly. He tempted our Lord with significant earthly power and possessions that many would not hesitate to accept the devil’s offer and in fact, do. Matthew 4:8-9 (KJV): 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. It would not be a temptation if Satan could not deliver, and Jesus never said that Satan couldn’t do what he said. The Bible declares that Satan is the god of this world and the prince of the power of the air. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV): 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Ephesians 2:2 (KJV): 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. In His Service, Pastor Jeffery A. Muchison Scripture for Sunday, 6-29-25 Matthew 4:10 (KJV) 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
