Pastor’s Pen 6/14/20
We continue to monitor information coming from the CDC (Center for Disease Control & Prevention), Ga. Dept. of Public Health, Coastal Health District, as well as the City of Brunswick and the Camden Emergency Management Agency in order that we make an informed decision as it relates to the re-opening of worship services at Calvary Christian Center. In guidelines for the re-opening of faith based organizations there have been suggested to obtain a survey of the parishioners of any particular congregation in order to gauge the wishes of those who would actually attend worship services. Of course we continue to encourage persons whom are more susceptible to COVID-19 not to attend worship services at this time. That would include those with symptoms of sickness or those with a temperature as well as those ages 65 and above as well as the more vulnerable to this disease, COVID-19. There are some Churches that have resumed some form of re-opening their worship services in different forms. For instance some have services outside of the building structure. Some have drive-in services kind of like the old drive-in theatres. Others with smaller congregations have opened their Churches but only for those whom are not more vulnerable to COVID-19 and continuing to practice physical distancing and wearing of masks to help prevent the spreading of the disease, obviously. But all of these decisions are based on the needs of the individual congregations and their leadership as they see fit. I am continuing to update on our website with information from the above sources. Therefore I solicit the opinions of the partners of Calvary Christian Center to gauge the temperature of our congregation as we continue forward during this pandemic and I welcome everyone’s personal opinion concerning re-opening worship services. I welcome your phone calls at my home #912-265-1449 or my cell at 912-269-3383 or you may email me at jefferymuchison@bellsouth.net. Keep the Vision Alive!

Announcements for Sunday, 6-24-20
- Stay updated on CCC’s website at cccwaverly.org. We’re uploading videos to the website that will go along with the outlines that are being e-blasted out for Bible study and Sunday messages.
- We continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic through legitimate sources and will update partners respectively. Presently we remain at phase 2 where small groups such as the Finance Committee, Board of Directors, School of Ministry and necessary functions for the upkeep and business of the ministry are permitted. In those functions we continue practicing physical distancing and protective measures as directed by the CDC.
