In the message today I’m going full throttle on one of the most neglected doctrines in this contemporary age, and that is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As I encourage the saints on walking under an open Heaven and in the fullness of all that is the children’s bread, there is just no way that we can fulfill that without the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As we have already declared in previous messages, the Holy Spirit is in every aspect of our redemption. He’s also in every aspect of our faith journey, whether we confess that or not. The Holy Spirit creates, heals, gives life, casts out devils, convicts of sin, redeems, resurrects, inspires scriptures, distributes gifts, forms the body of Christ, endues with power, changes lives, directs gospel work, frees from sin, gives victory over sin, bears witness, searches the deep things of God, brings things back to our remembrance and teaches and guides into all truth, reveals secrets, dwells in Believers, guides in daily problems, helps in prayer, washes from sin, sanctifies, and justifies, imparts and causes supernatural powers to be manifested through Believers, imparts love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control, seals men to divine ownership, gives access to God, imparts revelation, fills Believers, causes obedience to truth, speaks of Christ and glorifies Him, confirms the gospel, and carries on the work of God in the earth, He is the author of the new birth and the direct executive of God in all phases of creation and redemption, the Holy Spirit is the preserver of all things, and finally, He is God the Holy Spirit. The fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit are for character building and service respectively in the kingdom of God. The people of God must always be mindful that first and foremost we are representatives of the kingdom of God. We, the Believers, are ambassadors of the kingdom of Heaven and what that translates to is everything else falls in line behind kingdom priority. We are just coming out of our 21 Day Consecration and during that consecration the Lord led me to encourage the congregation here at CCC that this year is the year of the open Heaven. In Gen. 7:11 and Mal. 3:10 are the only 2 places in the Bible where the windows of Heaven are mentioned being opened and in each case, there was an abundance. One was an abundance of judgment because of disobedience to God and the other was an abundance because of obedience to God, therefore I want the windows of Heaven open because of obedience to God and not disobedience. Therefore, obeying His commandments, walking by faith and not by sight, and abiding in His love is how we are going to keep those windows open. Of course, we understand that the words “windows of Heaven” are a figure of speech meaning that the favor of God is on the one who abides in God’s love. This is where the ministry of the Holy Spirit is ever so needed because whether it’s being built up in godly character or needing power for service, without the ministry of the Holy Spirit we’re sunk in the water. The fruit, gifts, and unction (anointing) of the Holy Spirit have been given to the Church by God just for such a time as this. Acts 1:8 (KJV): 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. CCC’s firstfruit offering of a 21 Day Consecration is winding down but the spirit of the 21 Day Consecration continues on in our hearts and minds. The life of the Believer is a consecration unto God. This is the theme throughout God’s Word . Exodus 20:2–6 (KJV): 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (KJV): 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. Romans 12:1 (KJV): I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV): 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. We’re blessed to be God’s representatives in the earth, His ambassadors. The Bible declares that our citizenship, first and foremost, is of Heaven. Philippians 3:20 (KJV): 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. One of CCC’s youth came to me Sunday and she had one of the pamphlets promoting CCC’s 21 Day Consecration in her hand. She wanted to know whether or not we were on a total fast abstaining from any food or drink. In other words, a complete fast. I explained that the pamphlet reveals the different kinds of fasts and that it was left to each individual however the Lord leads them on any particular kind of fast to participate in. I could see her curiosity and desire to know more about fasting. The Bible speaks to whether or not we’re in the right kind of fasting or the wrong kind of fasting. It’s not so much about the abstaining from food and drink as much as being willing to change where change is needed in our lives because if we’re not willing to allow the Holy Spirit and God’s Word to shine the light from Heaven on our souls then you’re receiving no benefit from prayer and fasting except maybe to shed a few pounds and to give your digestive system a well deserved rest . Isaiah 58:6 (KJV): 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, And to let the oppressed go free, And that ye break every yoke? Prayer and fasting is about a heart change more than changing your diet. If we’re not going to change our hearts toward God and in drawing nigh unto Him then you might as well order you a steak and a loaded bake potato and enjoy yourself, otherwise you’re just going hungry for nothing. Oh, but the benefits of fasting and praying with a genuine heart for God is more than worth the sacrifice in order that we draw nearer blessed Lord. As the Psalmist penned, Psalm 84:10 (KJV): 10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. The Lord laid on my heart the theme for 2026 which is “The Year of the Open Heaven.” There are only 2 places in the Bible where “the windows of Heaven” are mentioned and that’s in Malachi 3:10 and Genesis 7:11, and in each case it is referring to an abundance flowing from Heaven when its windows are open. The difference between the windows being opened in Genesis and Malachi is one is the judgment of God for disobedience to His will and the other is the blessing of God for obedience to His will. Both scenarios are the results of faith or the lack of faith in God. When the body of Christ is on fire for God there’s less of a chance for the enemy to set up camp among the people of God. When the Church is not on fire for God Satan gets place to come in and sow discord, offences, division, confusion, disunity, anger, hate, animosity, etc., in the body of Christ to hinder the plans and purposes of God in the earth. When the body of Christ is on fire, on the other hand, the enemy cannot so easily come in like a flood else the Lord will raise up a standard against him just as He did when David faced Goliath. David had a strength of character spiritually and when he faced the giant his hope was in his God. One of the ways I am convinced that the body of Christ will stay on fire is by maturing in godly character, Galatians 5:22–23 (KJV): 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Strength in godly character, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might is how we catch on fire and stay on fire. That’s one reason why the assembling of ourselves together is admonished in the Word of God. Hebrews 10:25 (KJV): 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 2025 is almost out of here and the new season of 2026 is about to roll in, and the Lord have given me a powerful theme for 2026: The Year of the Open Heaven. There are only 2 places in the Bible where the windows of heaven are mentioned and that’s in Mal. 3:10 & Gen. 7:11, and in each case it is referring to an abundance flowing from heaven when it’s windows are open. Genesis 7:11 (KJV): 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Malachi 3:10 (KJV): 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be meat in mine house, And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, If I will not open you the windows of heaven, And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Gen. 7:11 was judgment upon the earth. Mal. 3:10 is the blessings because of obedience to God. I’m convinced that God’s people determine whether the windows of Heaven are opened in their lives by obedience to the will of God. I want to walk under an open Heaven, but that’s more easily said than done when living in a generation that’s anti-Christ for the most part. The winds of this end times blow hard against the plans and purposes of God and His chosen generation are swimming upstream because we’re in this world but not of this world. The Father have revealed His will unto men. If we want to walk under an open Heaven then we must walk in the revealed plans and purposes of God, Matthew 16:19 (KJV): 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. As we celebrate this season of thanksgiving, reverence, and appreciation for the God-man who was sent from Heaven to a world of darkness, we take the time to tell God how much we love Him and dare not take for granted that every day that we wake up it’s because of Him. This season of celebration of the going out of the old and the coming in of the new year and new season. God is good to us. My life I can’t imagine without God. All of my conscious days as far back as I can remember has included faith in God and His Christ. Everybody is not so blessed to have been taught from a child the Lord Jesus Christ and those of us who have ought to find it difficult not to praise and worship Him every woke second of our lives. It is the season of celebration. The changing of the guard is upon us again. Out with 2025 and in with 2026. God have already given me the theme for 2026 and I will be sharing that on next Sunday. It’s a blessed time for the Church. It’s a blessed time for the Church because we live in a generation where the harvest is ripe yet the laborers are few and we have the opportunity to tell this generation the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that message is that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. That Light has come into the world over 2000 years ago and He is the hope of the world, the way, the truth, and the life. He is the apex of God’s love. He also demonstrates that we are precious since He, the Creator of all things, were willing to take the form of a man, suffer the cross, die, be buried and raised again that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The Church is tasked with the mission of representing Heaven in the earth. We are Heaven’s ambassadors, 2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV): 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. The Church is called the light of the world as is Christ, the Father, and the Word. Light means to illuminate, to shine, and in the Word of God light also is indicative of the kingdom of Heaven and the revelation of God in the earth. We are all of the light that many who we work with on our jobs will see, or who we work alongside in our businesses, our communities, schools, etc. In Jesus’ sermon on the mount, He reveals that our light is our good works , Matthew 5:16 (KJV): 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. What we do reveals whether we’re walking in light or darkness according to the words of Christ in John 3:19–21 (KJV ): 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Rom. 14 is an awesome chapter that encourages Believers to be mindful of how we influence our brothers and sisters, and to take it a step further, how we may influence all whom we may come in contact with. In other words, we are to be mindful of our actions and how we are encouraging or discouraging others as it relates to the things of God, Romans 14:21 (KJV): 21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. War is going on in the earth. This war is an invisible war to the natural eye but to them that believe it’s a war none-the-less. The consolation to the Church though, is that we, the Church, have power from on high. God have given us authority over the ability of the devil and his kingdom. Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to them that believeth,” Mk. 9:23 (KJV). The Church in Acts was full of faith and power demonstrated by the signs and wonders manifested in their day. Acts 5:14–16 (KJV): 14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women. 15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. 16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. When the question was put to His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?” Peter answered, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:17–18 (KJV): 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The Church has been empowered by God. We are the lightning rod of God in the earth, the light of the world. The war is the kingdom of light against the kingdom of darkness. John 15:11 (KJV): 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. “Joy” here in Jn. 15:11 is from the Greek word chara, pronounced khar-ah, from Strong’s G5463 and it means cheerfulness, that is calm, delight:- gladness, exceeding greatly, joy (-ful, -fully, -fulness, -ous). This joy is not a joy from having stuff, fame, riches, notoriety, popularity, or any of those things that satisfies our flesh. This joy does not come from anything in this world, but is birth out of our relationship with the God of our salvation. That means that the world didn’t give us this joy and the world can’t take away. When anything else is the source of our “joy,” then when that thing is taken away, or walks out of our lives our joy walks out with it, but when your joy hinges on nothing else such as how high I climb the economic ladder, or how many followers I have on social media, or how many people are under my leadership, but only on my relationship with my God then my joy is full. Now just to make sure that I’m not misunderstood, I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong in itself with being blessed with possessions, riches, fame, or whatever else in this life we may receive, but if these things become priority over our relationship with our Creator then we have a spiritual situation whereas God now has been relegated to an inferior place in our lives. The Word says that we should have no other “gods” before Him. Now I know that sounds like strong language, and it is, but what the scripture reveals is that we must get our priorities right in this life. If we really want to have full joy in this world it will be through a personal relationship with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. This is the original plan of God and will have it’s fulfillment in the restoration of all things as revealed in Revelation 21:4 (KJV): 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Living right in a wrong world is the plight of the Christian . John 17:14–16 (KJV): 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. One of the most powerful warnings in God’s Word revealing the Father’s attitude as it relates to Christians and their association with the world is found in 1 John 2:15–17 (KJV): 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. In another scripture as Jesus was praying to the Father He revealed why His followers would be hated in this life. John 15:17–19 (KJV): 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. The word “world” in all of these passages is from the Greek word “kosmos,” Strongs 2889, and is defined as follows: Orderly arrangement, that is decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense including its inhabitants literally or figuratively [morally]):-adorning, world. To get entangled in the spirit of this age with no control, boundaries, limitations, or temperament on our desires is opposite of being mature spiritually. Galatians 5:16–17 (KJV): 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
