Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 5-25-25
Vision is the fire and combustion to those who see what others do not. That inner combustion is fueled by the imagination, pictures, and the dreams of those things desired that we don’t have presently. We’re convinced of the sight that we see with our faith but not yet visible to the natural eyes. We walk by faith and not by sight. How far I see is the potential for how much I will achieve. If I don’t see anything then I’m not going to achieve anything, but whatever I see in my spirit, I have the potential to achieve. What we envision, imagine, picture in our minds is the starting point. It’s the beginning of changing our present state of affairs for the future. It’s our down payment towards a better tomorrow and then we make installment payments toward that vision in order that the vision come to pass. We work the vision, never taking our eyes off of what God have given us, what we have seen, what we have imagined, and what we have pictured in our minds. Then, faith without works is dead. A vision is no greater than the desire and the action to achieve it. Never give up on your dreams. Never give up on your vision. It’s not just for you, but it’s to be a blessing to the multitudes. The vision is to inspire generations. God gave Abraham a vision that would inspire generations. Genesis 22:17-18 (KJV): 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Keep the vision alive until you bring the vision to pass.
