It’s The Church’s Finest Hour
As I close out the series titled “Without a Vision,” in our Monday night Bible study I pray that every Partner of CCC knows and understands the Lord’s vision for their personal lives and give their all, spirit, soul, & body to bringing that vision to pass. To do it with enthusiasm, energy, all your might, with passion, faithfulness, and commitment. There’s a lot of noise out there now that distracts from the truth of God’s Word that has many off focus and out of the Lord’s plan for their life. But His Word is our true north to where God would have us to be. His Spirit is our Guide, Teacher, Strengthener, Comforter, and our Advocate. He lives in us and is with us to be a very present Help in the time of need. God gave His Spirit for the distinct purpose of empowering His people, Acts 1:8 (KJV): “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” And for character building, Gal. 5:22, 23 (KJV): “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” His Word is His vision for all mankind and His vision for our personal lives are intertwined with that vision. He will show Himself strong on behalf of them that love Him and keep His commandments. His Word is the sure Word for His people today and the Lord says He will hasten His Word to perform it. The Church, the Body of Christ, is a source of strength in itself, 1 Cor. 14:3 (KJV): “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.” We will need each other in these last days especially so according to Heb. 10:25 (KJV): “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” It’s the Church’s finest hour, Matthew 11:12 (KJV): “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
