Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, 3-29-26
This faith journey can place a powerful demand on this flesh, just like the anointing places a heavy demand on this flesh. Most Church goers are not privy to how much a Pastor gives out each occasion that he gets before a congregation of people to minister to them what God has given to him. I personally am so drained after any Sunday worship service or Monday night Bible study to the point that after Sunday service the rest of that day is rest for the body, and though Bible study is somewhat less demanding, yet demanding it is. We all can get weary on this faith journey regardless of your place in the body of Christ. That’s why one of my missions is to teach on the total man, spirit, soul, and body, and our attention to ministering to the total person, and taking care of the total being. When that body, and mind, and spirit, is stretched, we’ve got to know how to maintain that bounce back by understanding our own selves and the power of God in us by faith. We’ve got to get as much stress out of our lives as possible. Stay clear of people who you know are going to stress you out, as well as much as possible, avoid stressful situations. I had to learn the hard way to not be everything and everywhere that everybody wanted me to be. Sometimes you’ve got to say, “No!” Once you’ve done all you can do in the natural, you’ve got to learn to rest in the Lord. To rest in the Lord just basically means to have faith in God. Hebrews 4:1–3 (KJV): Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Matthew 11:28–30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
