The creation groans for the restoration of all things that have been affected by the sin of the first man and the first woman. Though the earth was not the cause of the fall, it was cursed as well. Because of sin death entered the earth separating men from God’s best for their lives. Poverty, sickness, and lack have never been the plan of God for mankind. Man was created in the image and likeness of God, and should never accept anything less than what God says, and God said in Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV): 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Notice that God gave man dominion over fish, fowl, cattle, all the earth, and over creeping things. Nowhere in Gen. 1:26, 27, does it say man shall have dominion over other men. Man was created in the image and likeness of God, and sin keeps us separated from God’s best and I know that, for me, I hunger and thirst after my God and am looking forward to the full restoration and completion of our redemption, and until then I refuse to listen to the enemies of my soul including evil and wickedness in high places such as governments, whether local or nationally. Habakkuk 1:4 (KJV): 4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. It will fail. Righteousness will win over darkness. The God-image will not let wicked people, wicked rulers, nor wicked governments prevail. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV): 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Today is a very special day as we celebrate Mothers and the gift they are to all mankind. Mothers shape this world since she is the first to mold and shape new lives after they have been birth into this world, a world of good and evil, right and wrong, darkness and light. Mothers are the first to teach us the difference between these as well as nourishing us, nurturing us, providing for us, loving us, protecting us, and mothering us by performing those duties that only a Mother can. She’s also a part of that powerful God established institution called the family. God ordained the family for many reasons, but one of the greatest purposes for the institution of marriage is to raise up godly seed unto the Lord. Malachi 2:15 (KJV): 5 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. It all starts at home. Home is where we as parents are to be the example and teach our children concerning the things of God. Mom turns the house into a home, and she creates the atmosphere by which the family can excel and grow because of her love. Dad is the protector, nourisher, provider, and upholder. The children are to reverence and honor their parents for it is the first commandment with the promise of longevity. We give a shout out to all of our Moms. They shape our world. The enemy tries to blind the minds of men from the truth of the gospel. The Apostle Paul said in Romans 1:16 (KJV): 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Satan is working through deception, delusions, and by any wicked means necessary, to keep men from the revelation of Christ and His plans for man. 2 Corinthians 4:3–4 (KJV): 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. The enemy deceives not only non-Christians, but Christians as well. The Word of God reveals that there will be great delusion in the last days. Look around you. Satan’s not the only one who is a liar. 1 John 4:1–3 (KJV): Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. That spirit of antichrist is already raising its head all across this land. The Word reveals to us in 2 Thess. 2:9-12 that because men would reject the truth and believe a lie that God would allow strong delusion in the end times. Strength is sometimes in the things that don’t look strong. The Word reveals that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that are perishing, but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. The Lord chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Paul said that he would take pleasure in his infirmities, necessities, and distresses for Christ’s sake, for when he’s weak in human strength, then he’s strong. Paul is saying that when he’s weak in his flesh, then he’s strong spiritually. God is glorified when His saints trust Him. We look for strength in the things we see when real strength is in the things we do not see. The most powerful force on this earth is agape love. Isaiah 53 is the greatest demonstration of the greatest force this side of glory, love that is so beyond human comprehension it must be of a higher supreme Being, a God, the God, Jehovah, Yeshuah, Yaw-weh. A love that is divine, proof that there is a God in heaven, the God of the Bible. No greater power on earth than the love of God. Love redeems, not condemns, is selfless, not selfish, patient, not impatient, builds up, not tears down, restores, not rejects, heals, not kills, suffereth long, and is kind, envieth not, vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. The Word of God teaches us to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, not our might, but His might. The Apostle Paul learned that when he was weak in human strength, then he was strong in divine strength. Putting on the whole armor of God is girding ourselves up in divine strength. Ephesians 6:10–18 (KJV): 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. This spiritual warfare that we as Christians find ourselves in reveals the challenges we face to walk by faith and not be governed by the sense realm. First of all, the Bible reveals that there is a constant battle between the spirit of man yielded to the Holy Spirit, and our flesh, Gal. 5:16-18. Then there’s the world’s influence that will derail the faith of old, young, and everyone in between, that God warns us about in 1 Jn. 2:15-17. Christians do whatever they do as unto the Lord. We do whatever we do from the core of our being, from the heart, and not out of our emotions, or what it looks like, how we feel, what we’ve heard, and certainly not by what folk are saying about us, but we have learned how to walk by faith and not by sight. That means we’re governed by the revelation of God’s Word, and not by the sense realm. Jesus’s example demonstrates this principle of faith which worketh by love. We cannot please God in the flesh and without faith it’s impossible to please Him. Jesus humbled Himself in obedience to the Father even unto the death of the cross. Obviously, it was a spiritual battle between His flesh and His spirit man as we see in the Garden of Gethsemane . Luke 22:44 (KJV): 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. The way Jesus coped Is found a couple of verses before, Luke 22:42 (KJV): 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Prayer is the Believer’s lifeline between him and the God of his salvation. The power of prayer is unmistakenly in the Word of God. Prayer can do anything God can do because God is Who we’re praying to. In Lk. 18:1, Jesus said that men ought always to pray. Jesus Himself is seen in prayer often. The one prayer that we’re most familiar with is the prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane where the Bible reveals that Jesus prayed sweat as drops of blood, Lk. 22:44. That was intense prayer for an intense situation. Jesus prayed none-the-less. The Son of God prayed to the Father, as many pray to Him today, that if it were possible, the cup be taken away from Him, but nevertheless, not my will but thy will be done. Yet, it was the will of God that Jesus drink of that cup, the cup of sufferings, that men might be restored to right relationship with their Creator. One of, if not the greatest miracle, in the earth was being brought to pass through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. God, in His infinite wisdom and love, emptied of Himself and left glory to come down to this earth. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we were healed. He suffered and died. He was buried in a borrowed tomb. Jesus was made alive and raised from the dead and seated on the right hand of God the Father. Raised with all power in His hand on this resurrection day. He is the hope of men, the God of our salvation, the peace of the world and we celebrate Him. He was raised from the dead that we might have life and have it more abundantly. This faith journey can place a powerful demand on this flesh, just like the anointing places a heavy demand on this flesh. Most Church goers are not privy to how much a Pastor gives out each occasion that he gets before a congregation of people to minister to them what God has given to him. I personally am so drained after any Sunday worship service or Monday night Bible study to the point that after Sunday service the rest of that day is rest for the body, and though Bible study is somewhat less demanding, yet demanding it is. We all can get weary on this faith journey regardless of your place in the body of Christ. That’s why one of my missions is to teach on the total man, spirit, soul, and body, and our attention to ministering to the total person, and taking care of the total being. When that body, and mind, and spirit, is stretched, we’ve got to know how to maintain that bounce back by understanding our own selves and the power of God in us by faith. We’ve got to get as much stress out of our lives as possible. Stay clear of people who you know are going to stress you out, as well as much as possible, avoid stressful situations. I had to learn the hard way to not be everything and everywhere that everybody wanted me to be. Sometimes you’ve got to say, “No!” Once you’ve done all you can do in the natural, you’ve got to learn to rest in the Lord. To rest in the Lord just basically means to have faith in God. Hebrews 4:1–3 (KJV): Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. The Word of God reveals the manipulative spirit of men and how that human nature, if left unchecked, will try and mold others into the persons that they can take advantage of. In several cases in scripture drugs are used, the occult, divination, sorcery, etc., to influence the unsuspecting. In Gal. 5:20 it mentions witchcraft. Witchcraft is manipulation and control. In Gal. 5:20 the word witchcraft is from the Greek word pharmakeia, pronounced far-mak-i-ah, Strong’s G5331, and it means medication (pharmacy) that is (by extension) magic (literal or figuratively):-sorcery, witchcraft. This generation is a very manipulative generation and it’s not just the unsaved that’s guilty of it. Even in the church it’s quite prevalent. Christians, when they do it, they throw their rock and hide their hand. It’s manipulation none-the-less. In this present generation people don’t care about hiding their hand. They could care less whether you know it or not and that’s the unsettling thing. It’s the end time generation and there are some cold hearts in it. Matthew 24:12 (KJV): 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. When people cannot trust their leaders in government, community, city, state, school, church, etc., we’re setting ourselves up for failure. When lying becomes the norm, and stabbing each other in the back gets normalized, manipulation and control is fine as long as it’s me doing the manipulating and not the other way around, then we’ve landed somewhere far beyond the bottom. When we can no longer distinguish between believers and unbelievers, clean and unclean, righteous and unrighteous, holy and unholy, right and wrong, just know that our redemption draweth nigh.
